You might have heard of Bondi, Sydney’s (arguably) favourite beach.
But there’s a lot more to this golden stretch than sand, sun and sea.
Curving a wide kilometre, only 10km from Sydney’s city centre, Bondi is renowned for its soft sands, stunning harbour walks, dazzling sun and even more dazzling sun-lovers.
It was also the first Australian beach Oscar set foot on.
He’d heard about it. Knew the stories of ripped surfer boys hanging ten along its crashing waves. Listened to tales about the perfect-bodied guys looking for fun at the northern end of its sizzling curve. Saw them for himself.
But when he was there he saw more than he thought he would. He saw himself. A better version of himself. And he saw Australia for what it could be.
For the first time in his life he began to fall in love.
